It is easier to make a cup of coffee than you think, even if you are completely new to do so. All you need to do is to follow our do’s and don’ts of roasted coffee beans that will definitely help you out.

Do Purchase Fresh Coffee Whenever You Buy

You should buy whole coffee beans from the roaster directly and then store it in an airtight container at normal temperature. If you place it on a shelf, it will rapidly lose its flavor. Moreover, you should only buy coffee for one or two weeks use, or If you want to freeze coffee, try to wrap it tightly and seal so that it doesn’t pick up flavors as well as aromas from the other food frozen with it.

Do Grind Well

You must grind your coffee beans before you start brewing it. Grinding is the process which releases much flavor, so coffee gives a good taste after you finish grinding. Make sure that you don’t grind it enough as it will taste flat.

Do Wash Your Pot Every Time After Using

You must clean your coffee pot every time with soap and wash off with water thoroughly. Let it get dry so that the natural oils released from coffee and stick to the coffee pot, vanish away. If it’s not washed properly, it will badly affect the coffee taste.

Don't Confuse With Coffee Types

You should not be confused about selecting one of the different kinds of coffee beans. All coffee beans are roasted in a certain way that results in a certain flavor as well. If you mix all the beans together, it means you mix all different acidic levels, flavors, and bodies which make an unpleasant taste of coffee.

However, you can experience mixing a little with one other type of coffee if you want to have something new to drink for yourself and your guests as well.

Don't Keep Coffee Below 175 Degrees

You can drink coffee which is heated for a long time unless the temperature decreases below 175 degrees. Once it goes below, the coffee is more for use. If you reheat the coffee after it got cooled, it will give an unpleasant taste.

Do Put Filtered Water

Everyone knows that tap water comes with its own taste, so you must not use it to make your coffee as it will severely affect the flavor. You can use tap water to a minimum extent for its minerals but try to use filtered water to make coffee.

Do Fill The Filter Properly

You shouldn’t overfill the filter as it will lead to over brewing and result in an awful taste. Try to add only one to two tablespoons if you are using every 6 ounces of coffee or follow the instructions on your coffee pot guide.

Do Take Roasted Coffee Without Sugar

Nowadays everyone wants to be fit and healthy and for this purpose, they cut down sugar from their daily diet. You should also try to drink coffee without sugar to lower calories.

Don’t Buy Larger Quantities Of Coffee

You shouldn’t buy coffee in larger quantities as it loses its taste and aromas. Even if you buy in smaller quantities, make sure you place it in average temperature or store it in the freezer.

Do Use Your Coffee Beans Within Two Weeks

You must use your coffee beans within two weeks after it is roasted as it starts losing its taste when it sits for a long time.
